Delivery

Do you deliver to my area?

Currently, we deliver within a 100 km radius of our warehouse located in the Montreal city region. If you are unsure if we deliver to your area, please call us at 438-812-4555 to confirm.

Are there delivery costs or a contract to sign?

With Sélection Perfection, no contracts or hidden fees, the delivery is free!

How does delivery work?

Your food is placed in a 100% recyclable insulated box, plus several blocks of dry ice. This allows your order to stay cold during delivery. Unlike other companies, we deliver your order without other partners, this allows us to guarantee 100% the condition of your order upon arrival at your home.

What is the delivery delay?

We work very hard to have the fastest possible delivery time, however our delivery time is between 3-7 days.

Do I need to schedule a delivery day and time?

At Sélection Perfection, we understand how time is a rare resource, which is why we offer you the great luxury of being able to receive your order without even having to think about it. Your order will be left at your doorstep like a standard package and will await your return.
So you don't have to fit us into your schedule, your order will arrive like magic!

How long can my order stay at my door?

Our insulated boxes with dry ice inside have been proven for several years! However, since weather is a major factor in this matter, it all depends on the temperature outside. The warmer it is, the shorter the time, the colder it is, the longer the storage time.
We recommend that, following delivery, the order be placed in the freezer. To keep your order fresh, we typically deliver in the afternoon or late evening to ensure someone is home to receive it.

I live in a condo/apartment, how does this affect my delivery?

In general, our process remains the same as for a house. However, it is recommended to leave any information that will be useful to us to deliver your order, whether it is an access code, a number to dial, a special delivery location, etc.

How do I know when exactly my order will arrive?

Once your order is received, we will package your products carefully and subsequently, you will receive a real-time tracking link so you can know exactly when your order will arrive. You will receive an email notification once your order leaves our warehouse, we will indicate an estimated delivery time so that you can collect it without it sitting out too long.

What is the delivery method for telephone orders?

If you wish to place your order by telephone, we will deliver to you using the same method, however you must be present upon receipt, as you will pay at the time of delivery with our representative.

The minimum purchase is $89.

Do I have to pay for delivery?

The delivery is FREE.

Is there a subscription or contract to sign?

Absolutely no, Sélection Perfection does not require any subscription or regular order. You order whenever you want.

What are the payment methods?

On our online site your payment is secure and fast, you can use Visa, Mastercard, Amercian Express, Discover, Interac, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
For telephone orders we also accept cash payments.

Product

Are your products organic?

We offer several certified organic products, but not all of our products are certified organic. All products that are organic carry the words “organic” in their title.

Where do your products come from?

With the exception of certain wild species of fish and seafood, the vast majority of our products come from Quebec producers.

Is the expiry date on my product correct?

No, the expiry date on your product is that of the product if it had not been frozen . Our freezing and vacuum packaging technologies allow you to keep frozen products for more than 6+ months.

Why is the product I received not exactly the weight indicated?

It is possible that the product you received weighs a little less or a little more than indicated. It is important to understand that all our products are natural, so it is impossible to have the same cut down to the gram every time. However, it is our commitment to ensure that you receive the product closest to the stated weight.

Food storage and box

Why are our products frozen?

All our items are frozen and vacuum packed. Freezing, an industrial method, allows us to quickly cool products by exposing them to temperatures as low as -50°C. In addition to extending the shelf life of products, freezing maintains the nutritional properties, flavor and texture of foods.
Reduction of food waste
Our items are packaged in individual portions, making it easy to defrost only what you need. A freezer full of delicious local produce equals fewer impromptu "grab and go" meals and more healthy meals prepared at home!

How long do frozen products last in the freezer?

If products are kept at a constant freezing temperature and the vacuum seal is preserved, they can generally remain viable for approximately 6-24 months in the freezer. We recommend that you rely on Canada's food guide.

How do I defrost my products safely?

Certain defrosting methods should be avoided when processing meat. It is not recommended to defrost products at room temperature or using hot water, as this can encourage the proliferation of bacteria. Although meat can be defrosted in the microwave, it is essential to cook it quickly afterward. The most recommended methods of defrosting are using the refrigerator or submerging the meat in cold water.

Why are our products vacuum packed?

Our suppliers hold the necessary certifications to carry out processing and vacuum packaging. The vacuum packaging process involves the removal of oxygen from the container or bag, preventing the formation of ice crystals. In addition, vacuum packaging eliminates the risk of bacteria formation, and it maintains the meat with extraordinary flavor even after several months.

Do I have to freeze all the products?

You can put the products you plan to eat soon in the refrigerator, while the others can be placed in the freezer. Allow approximately 24 hours to defrost your products in the refrigerator, depending on their weight. Once defrosted, it is recommended to consume them within 3 to 5 days, and within 3 days for seafood products.

Is your delivery box recyclable?

Our boxes are entirely from Quebec, made 100% from recycled materials, and they are entirely recyclable!
